Holistic Approach to Wellness!

Hello to our loyal readers! Can you believe it is May already? While Lincoln was receiving April showers, I attended a training that showered me with gallons of knowledge. I or a staff member have attended trainings with The Academy of Integrative Medicine for 15 plus years.

These trainings take wellness/medicine back to its roots. Learning the role and therapeutic benefits that herbal medicine and homeopathy play in wellness is a true blessing. I know what you are thinking……herbs and homeopathy are not for everyone, but we are honored to have the knowledge and resources. A few nuggets I would like to share:

  1. GUT HEALTH

We have learned over the last 10 years the importance of GUT HEALTH affects so many parts of our bodies including how your cells function, liver and lymphatic function, immune system, endocrine system, mental health, cardiovascular disease, inflammation, and many other chronic disease states. This just drives home that ALL of us need to be taking a good multi-strain probiotic and well-rounded multivitamin like Nutriplenish GI.

  1. SINUS ISSUES

As the May flowers and trees start to create havoc on our sinuses it is a must that you continue our probiotic. My favorites as a sinus sufferer myself ….using a sinus rinse regularly, homeopathic Nasal Spray (reduces inflammation, helps reduce histamine while being steroid free), R-HIST (herbal blend that reduces inflammation, natural antihistamine, thins mucous and supports the immune system) and lastly, SINUS HP, is a homeopathic drop that addresses the above as well.

  1. BLOOD SUGAR REGULATION

40% of young adults ages 18-44 have insulin resistance. This number does not include those under 18 and over 44, we truly have an epidemic in this country. If blood sugar issues can be addressed early, then there will be less occurrence of other disease states. Lifestyle modifications such as routine exercise and reduced intake of processed food and sugars are beneficial. Supplements such as chromium, lipoic acid, vitamin K, B3, vanadium, berberine are helpful. I am suggesting the simple addition of Nutriplenish DM and Berberine Complex to your daily routine. Berberine Complex is a special blend that is well tolerate and offers great results. Berberine itself is poorly absorbed and creates lots of GI side effects, therefore this blend contains dihydroberberberine that has excellent absorption with minimal side effects. Pairing the dihydroberberine with Ceylon cinnamon helps support the lowering of blood glucose.
